Description
One of the most visited places in Europe, Neuschwanstein Castle sits at the top of a hill in the majestic Bavarian Alps near the town of Fussen, Germany. It was built by King Ludwig II of Bavaria, otherwise known as the “Fairy Tale King”. Neuschwanstein translates to “New Swan Castle” referencing the Knight of the Swan, a popular medieval tale. The look of the castle inspired Walt Disney to create The Magic Kingdom.
